During this 3 Days Nyungwe Chimp Trek, you will enjoy scenic views of the endless rolling hills of Rwanda. A Kigali city tour to the Genocide Memorial Site will give you a chance to see the remains of over 1000 people who lost their lives during the 1994 Rwanda Genocide.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Kigali city tour and transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Upon arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will meet our company driver guide. He or she will brief you about the 3 Days Nyungwe Chimp Trek. You will embark on an amazing Kigali city tour. The tour involves visiting the local markets and the Kigali Genocide Museum. Lunch will be along the way. You will then drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park, upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Lunch and Dinner

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and Canopy walk

Start your day with a delicious meal and report to the park headquarters for briefing. After the briefing, you will go for chimpanzee trekking in the forests of Nyungwe National Park. The park is also home to lush green vegetation and multiple bird species. Once you meet the chimps, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence before returning to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will go for a canopy walk on top of the forest. You will enjoy scenic views of the surrounding areas and many bird species, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Rwanda and departure

After a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to Kigali city. Lunch will be along the way. The driver will drop you to a hotel of your choice in Kigali or Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of your 3 Days Nyungwe Chimp Trek.
